Robert Teesdale has been selected as the Conservative candidate in the forthcoming Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner election.
The former police officer, who spent 30 years in the Merseyside force, said his vast experience makes him the ideal candidate for the role.
The election for Police & Crime Commissioner, as well as Metro Mayor, is on Thursday 2nd May
Robert said:
During my 30-year career I worked in several areas and departments mostly in uniform, ending up as Inspector. I concluded my service as I began it, working shifts and indeed my last shift was nights. Having retired, my wife and I then decided to travel.
If elected in May, Robert, who enjoys gardening and rambling and volunteers helping disabled ramblers, said he would ensure all available resources are spread evenly throughout the area.
He also said he would ensure that proper attention is paid to procurement, balancing good value for money whilst focusing support on local businesses and look at ways co-operation between forces can deliver better value for communities.
Robert said:
Labour has let people down across the region and it’s now time for a change, a change that only a Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner would be able to deliver, someone like myself who knows how police officers work and would be best suited to work with them and the government, to drive things forward for all communities across Merseyside, to make our region a safer and better place to live and work.
